Let's clear something up, shall we?

I've had it up to HERE with women who try and compare having several singletons close in age to being a mom of multiples.

I don't care if you have a newborn, a 9 month old, an 18 month old and a 27 month old. YOU DO NOT HAVE ONE STINKING CLUE WHAT IT MEANS TO HAVE TWINS. What it does mean, however, is that you like to reproduce and don't give your body enough time between delivery and conception and that makes you crazy, in my opinion.

Irish twins DO NOT equal twins.

Got it?

ROFL, I get that all the time too. I'm like no way is it even close. A 9 month old can entertain themselves, wheras a newborn can't, a 9 month old can feed themselves snacks, a newborn can't, a 9 month old can crawl around and not get bored easily, newborn can't, a 9 month old doesn't eat as frequently as a newborn, the list goes on. So even having a 9 month old vs. a newborn isn't even close, then people try to compare having a 1 year old and a newborn as like having twins. Again, nope, sorry!!! Whatever people need to validate themselves I guess. I just roll my eyes and change topics. Usually they just seem jealous that I can do this and they can't. A twin pregnancy vs. 2 singleton...don't even get me started on the differance between those!!!!

Did you see the asinine question from that woman with two sets of kids close in age and how it's "close enough" so she feels she can ask for advice? I mean, seriously? How about just asking your playgroup or other moms with a bunch of kids? Why the need to have this bond with MoMs? I'm beginning to just develop the belief that these women are all over-the-top with jealousy over our lives. Between her and the b**** on the comments from strangers thread, I'm not feeling very friendly.

ROFL you crack me up. I didn't see that post about close in age though. I did see the stupid one about "people are just being friendly" I had a nice long response for her on that one :P YAY! Sat. is coming! What time are you all going to be getting there? I am concerned there aren't going to be enough boosters for little kids. I'm wondering if I need to bring the kiddos portable booster chairs just in case.

The other one is on our board by a mom who doesn't have twins but has kids close in age so she feels it's close enough to be a part of the community and ask advice.

I think we're leaving here around 9:00 or 9:30 so that we can get down there and park comfortably. The only thing to remember about the boosters is that they'll most likely make you check them at guest services. They tend to be pretty strict about stuff like that. I hadn't even thought about it because we've never had a problem with the kids not being able to see (we go all the time for hockey games). If anything, they'll stand up in front of their seats or sit on our laps.

I think I'm more excited about this than they are (they have no idea, of course)! :)

Oh, forgot about security and such. I've never been, but if you think the kids will be ok seeing everything, then I trust you, afterall our kids are the same size :P
So 9:30, what time do you think we should leave here, you know the traffic in the area better than I do :P
I think I am looking forward to this more than anyone in my family as well...LOL!

Eeek...your area? Keep in mind that I have this anxiety about being on-time to anything, so I tend to get to places early (otherwise, it makes me sick to my stomach and I get really nasty!). :) I would start packing the kids up in the van and head out around 10:00/10:15, I guess? You guys are pretty close (295 to 395 and take the Verizon Center exit). Our problem is that 66 spits us out right at the beginning of Constitution Ave. at the entrace to the city and traffic is a BEAR.

We can be the silly, excited grown-ups together! :)

ROFL, 10am it is. I am anal about being on time as well! I'd rather get seated and comfy 30 min. early then scrambling to get there before the closing credits! Any ideas where we want to go to lunch afterwards? A place with a play area for the kiddos would be great. I doubt the kiddos are going to want to all sit down after sitting through the show.

Oooh...your guess is as good as mine at this point. There aren't any places like that around the arena. To be honest, we had just planned on Fuddruckers around the corner if they are cooperating. That way, we can leave the car in the garage and just walk to grab lunch. I'm so afraid that they'll be in full meltdown mode towards the end of the show and we'll have to leave, since it's so close to naps.

That sounds fine, Fuddruckers it is :) I've never been. I think the kids will be fine once they get food in their bellies. Then they will have a good nap on the way home :P
